The Pet Plan Awards are the equivalent of the Oscars in the veterinary industry and here at Holly House we are proud to not only have received nominations, but also won a Pet Plan ‘Oscar’.

Cat Friendly Clinic
We understand that taking a cat to the vets can be a stressful time for all involved. Due to their nature, cats become extremely uneasy when not in their ‘own’ territory. In order to address this issue at Holly House, we have teamed up with the International Society of Feline Medicine to ensure that our practice is ‘Cat Friendly’.
We have been awarded a Silver Grade Cat Friendly Clinic status. So what can you expect from our cat friendly clinic?
- Separated cat-only waiting area to prevent visual contact between cats and dogs
- Cat handling techniques to promote trust and well being
- Mandatory training to keep staff up to date with feline clinical developments
- Dedicated cat only hospitalisation wards
- Advice and guidance to owners on how to reduce stress levels when visiting the vet
Practice Standards Scheme
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons developed a voluntary scheme to ensure you, the owner, have the peace of mind that your pets are receiving the best possible veterinary care. This is known as the Practice Standards Scheme. Here at Holly House we are proud to be accredited as a PSS practice.
Through setting standards and carrying out regular assessments, the Scheme aims to promote excellent veterinary care as standard. Be assured we won’t rest on our laurels just because we have this accreditation – we constantly strive to improve our service and facilities.
Practice Standards Scheme Awards
In addition to the existing RCVS accreditation scheme, veterinary practices can now also demonstrate specific areas in which they excel through achieving a Practice Standards Scheme Award. These awards help you, the animal owner to identify practices which excel in the skills and services they offer.
At Holly House Vets we are proud to have achieved a RCVS Practice Standards Scheme Award in Client service. Our team are delighted to have received the highest accolade for this award, achieving Outstanding in all areas of client service.
